lanes between 1 and 2. >> a young man who was shot outside a peace concert has been pronounced at the hospital. the police search for a shooter is now the hunt for a killer. katherine scott is live outside the police headquarters with the update. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, matt, police believe the 20-year-old victim had been arriving at the concert to promote peace when he and the suspect got into an argument in the parking lot and the suspect shot and killed the victim. the search is on for the suspect. the this happened around 8:30 outside the dell music center in fairmont park. 33rd and huntington street. it happened in the parking lot, 50 treat from the front gate. at the time 600 people were inside the concert called philly support philly, peace on the streets. the concert was expected to let out a half-hour after the shooting took place.
the victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and later died. detectives were interviewing witnesses. >> the motive for the shooting based on witness accounts was that this victim was involved in a verbal argument that turned into a physical fight possibly over a female. and then the male pulled the gun and shot our victim firing two shots. >> and it is suspect is believed to be 17 or 18 years old. witnesses told police he was wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans last seen getting into a white chevy impala and driving south on 33rd from huntington. there are surveillance cameras in the area, so police are hoping they will help in the investigation, if you have any tips homicide wants to hear from you. >> let's hope the calls come in. developing right now, yet another night of violence erupted in ferguson, missouri.
